Has anyone updated to Windows 11 yet? I'm very suspicious of the "this will download in the background... you won't even notice it... it's just like windows 10..." messages.

@burdGIS it works well enough for most things, and I’ve had no GIS related complaints. But there are a few UI changes that drive me nuts to the point that I’ve had to apply some hacks to revert to “old” functionality.
@burdGIS the 3 items that are my biggest complaints: 1) redesigned start menu is meh, 2) inflexible / no options on the Taskbar placement and 3) terrible, terrible, right click menu redesign
@tchaddad taskbar placement is important to me as is the right-click menu. And for those reasons... I'm out.
@burdGIS right-click menu is 100% solvable with a simple registry edit to restore the old menu that is present but hidden in the OS. The taskbar placement is not really solvable. The only 2 choices are bottom centered, or bottom left-aligned. You can apply a registry edit to place the menu at the top of the screen, but it’s imperfect, and there are no options for left or right side placements, which is a bummer
