I've wanted an EV for years, but the finances never made sense. Now it does because my smallest vehicle is a suburban and I have high schoolers going to town multiple times a day. The gas savings alone cost the same as a car payment even with current high interest rates and vehicle prices.

Also, this is the cheapest of all EVs. I love the design, it's tall person friendly (I'm 6'4" and my son is even taller), and it's perfect for around town.

But the range is pretty low (250 in town/180 highway) and charging is slow. The charger it came with only allowed us two trips to town a day max.

I got a 11Kw level two charger and it's better now.

We're planning a day trip to dallas tomorrow that's about 360 miles total (mostly highway speeds). The "fast" level 3 chargers are few and far between so this will be an adventure. And even assuming I find plenty and they work and aren't being taken by someone, they aren't that fast. Max speed will be 55Kw which is around 2 hours for a full charge, but it's faster towards the empty side (30 minutes for the first half, 90 for the last half)
