Thing I've noticed about #BothSidesAreBad people is that if I start ragging on the more liberal/democratic side (whomever that may be), they are all for it and join in.

If I start ragging on the not-liberal, not-democratic side, they immediately jump in with "Well but what about [liberal/democratic side person]!??!!"

Every time.

They use "both sides are bad" because they have no positive defense for their (secretly) preferred side. So they make bullshit equivalencies.
