Lauren WeinsteinIt's hilarious how the GOP is so excited about gun charges against Hunter Biden, when their party line is that even domestic violence felons and even many mentally ill people should be encouraged to have guns and carry them openly wherever they go. The GOP is just a gang of criminal fascists now.
Grath@lauren Strictly speaking, he's being charged with lying on his background check paperwork, technically unrelated to his subsequent possession of a gun while being an unlawful user of drugs. (Recent decisions by SCOTUS and lower courts have enforcement of the latter law in question.)
@Grath Again, that charge is very rarely brought related to a gun not used in a crime. How many MAGAs lie on the gun paperwork? For that matter, the background checks are worthless with all the loopholes that don't require them (like gun shows). Hunter should be congratulated for doing the paperwork and not just ignoring it. C'mon, you know what's really going on.
@lauren I mean yea, it's clearly retaliatory and the usual hypocrisy from the GOP. (Hunter's lawyer will have a not-unreasonable argument to make about selective prosecution in their defense.)
