Short-term temperature fluctuations increase disease in a Daphnia-parasite infectious disease system

Experiments using a Daphnia-microparasite system reveal that disease transmission models that only model transmission dynamics at the among-host scale incorrectly predict the direction of effect of short-term thermal variability on endemic infection prevalence.
