I still feel like mobile phones were riding camera improvements as the primary improvement for years and once those stsrted to plateu and get increasingly niche all manufacturers have been struggling to spin new models as exciting or needed.

We went through "Look it's bigger, look it's thinner, look at the camera” and then we had touch ID and that changed the game. Then back to "look it's bigger, look it's thinner, look at the camera”, and then face ID, and now back to "look it's bigger, look it's thinner, look at the camera”

@MadnessKingdom I find it funny that curved screens went from a one-sided test version on a Samsung phone to being UNAVOIDABLE because it's "amazing," and now they've abandoned it because it's terrible.
Things come full circle.

@RobIssler @MadnessKingdom Also, screens are in a weird spot right now.
On all phones I have to get a glass protector because the oleophobic coating wears off over time, and it makes a reverse-smudge where it's rubbed away. So then I need to find a case that fits when the glass protector is in place.
