I just downloaded the entire Classic Chicago Television youtube channel on a whim - Lemmy.one

a TorrentFreak article [https://torrentfreak.com/tv-museum-will-die-in-48-hours-unless-sony-retracts-youtube-copyright-strikes-230904/] got me spooked so I fired up the ol’ yt-dlp. Got the entire channel, including comments, description metadata, and thumbnail images.

Ah found in GitHub. For some reason I never put 2 and 2 together to automate YouTube video downloads. What a noob hah.

Yeah, the yt-dlp fork is still actively maintained and has very nice results, glad you found it.
