#screenrant #AI Are companies using AI to write factual articles the equivalent of modern-day snake oil salesmen? At least it’s only slightly funny when it confuses two video games, but it still feels like there’s a lack of respect for the reader when it’s used. How can you trust anything else from them?
I suppose there’s an argument that the failure is in fact-checking, but I’d guess that fact-checking is the hard part of writing any factual article (I am not a writer). So it’s making less of the easy part and more of the hard part?
And at least I know the subject well enough to recognize the problem here. There are many subjects where I wouldn’t. And it also makes me think of something I read years back about how unlikely it is that anyone will even notice a retraction.
