Saw a rather alarming series of pavement markings on US 99W up by Newberg. Usually when two lanes turn into one, one clearly ends and merges into the other (left), but in this case neither lane clearly ended and they both had arrows pointing inward (right). Which seems... inadvisable?? I feel like it's a really good thing to know who has the right of way in this situation???
@pawcelot Think that’s confusing? Check out this dashed line which is meant to separate and direct two left-turning southbound traffic lanes onto Nyberg in Tualatin, OR, but doesn’t curve sharply enough and causes drivers to get confused about what lane they should be entering. (It’s meant to be the farthest left two lanes.)

@pawcelot it has been like that for years, I can’t grok why it hasn’t been fixed
