In July 2022, our 8-year-old Teddy received a life-changing diagnosis: Type 1 diabetes. It was a tough journey, but Teddy's ability to adapt and learn has been nothing short of amazing.

When you have T1D (Type 1 diabetes), your body stops producing insulin—a hormone essential to turning food into energy.

Managing the disease is a constant struggle that involves monitoring your blood-sugar level, injecting or infusing insulin through a pump, and balancing these insulin doses with your eating and activity.

Even with a strict regimen, people with T1D may still experience dangerously high or low blood-glucose levels that can, in extreme cases, be life threatening

This year Teddy wants to help make a difference. He’s looking for financial support for T1D research and is walking as part of a JDRF fundraiser later this month.

Please consider making a donation to his walk. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to finding a cure for T1D.
