It's appalling that journalists and their news organizations never stand back in self-reflection to ask why the public is ill-informed on a topic when it is the supposed job of news to inform them. Why is the public ill-informed about the economy? It ain't Biden's fault, folks.
Tical91@jeffjarvis Maybe not Biden explicitly but the media has been bought for decades. The idea that there is objective coverage with 0 bias is a lie.
That being said, its more profitable to lean into the biases and run cover. That is what you are observing. NYT, Fox, et al run cover for the oligarchs. The ones who post "inconvinient truths" and journalism with due diligence are blackballed. This is literally the Chris Hedges and Glenn Greenwald story.
