Ek Ong Kaar K Michaud@bethsawin Even though I still am trying to understand how Mastodon works, I always find interesting conversation here. It doesn't leave me feeling addicted or overwhelmed. There is a humanity here - like a nice bookshop/coffee bar rather than a Rave.
Barney H@ekongkaar @bethsawin I’ve noticed this feeling too. It’s liberating to be able to ‘plug-in’ and ‘plug-out’ with relative ease. My usage doesn’t feel as frenzied as on other platforms. Also everything feels more real, as in interactions more closely resemble conversations you might have in person.
