I think we can safely say that the political context for the water firms is that re-nationalisation is looking more & more like a popular policy.... the only Q. is how much further money the asset stripers can extract when the water companies are brought back into public ownership.

Britain is the only country in the world with privatised water supply. Even the Americans are not that dumb. Not even Texas.

@robcornelius @ChrisMayLA6 ...and in Britain, I believe it is only the English that is stupid enough to have privatised water companies. Other members of the Union have either nationalized them or they're run by not-for-profit.
