My carryonable 3d printer - programming.dev

I’ve posted this to reddit before, but the post has gotten lost among an automod flurry. I’ve got some longer travel coming up and this thing has been on my mind again, so I’m looking for some suggestions!

That’s pretty neat, but that’s a lot of disassembly and assembly.
I feel like some kind of fold up option is just going to cause problems. I wonder if a delta would be better for that- haven’t played with one but maybe the up-and-down motion would be easier to self calibrate and compensate for any play.
The Positron 3D manages the folding aspect really well. Definitely worth checking out how it works: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAPaOevoeX0
