@Volksverpetzer at the same time #climatecrisis and other problems make it clear that we all will need to change our lifestyle dramatically.

Now, as it has been shown many times, a huge majority of Western population (roughly) supports that change of lifestyle. With one catch: as long, their personal lifestyle does not need to change in any significant way.

Roughly, we do not support the evil imperial ways. Footnote: exemptions can be granted when needed to support our privileged lifestyle.

@Volksverpetzer That's the secret of GOP, Tory, AfD, Front National, Italian Fascists, success at the polls.

They more or less promise to keep going, or even go back to the good old times.

Does not matter that it's not possible.

But they at least promise it, while the others have the impertinence to tell their voters that things need to change.

Another thought. We have been all told to expect wars around resource distribution.

Some might have natively thought that these would be poor refugees fighting to prevent starvation.

Moor realistically, it wool be driven by Americans complaining loudly that their newest mega SUV is being discriminated against. And some German patriots yelling about "freie Fahrt für freie Bürger" (unrestricted driving for free citizens, the classical answer when somebody mentions speed limits)
