@Honorbound She smiles over at her.

"You're sweet, officer Johh."

@DetectiveFlowerPower Johh returns the smile.

“It's tough, this job, in this city, but you handle it so well. What's your secret?”

@Honorbound She adjusts her glasses.

"I have help from a little green friend... My beliefs... Perhaps you inspire me."

She gave a lopsided smile.

@DetectiveFlowerPower “A little green friend like a gremlin... Or like an insect...”

Johh knew what she meant by 'little green friend' but it was fun to play coy sometimes.

@Honorbound She rolls her eyes and elbows her in the side gently.

"You're lucky that you're cute."

@DetectiveFlowerPower “I am, since I have no power over it, but it serves me well.” And she bumps Calypso back before she gestures to the detective.

“Any progress on the case?”

Although she honestly wasn't sure what case the detective is working at the moment.

@Honorbound She started digging her purse for something as she started on about the case.

"Oh, it was so sad. This poor woman. Just mugged for everything she had and just left to die. How can someone be so cold?"

Of course it would be obvious that she was pulling out her cigarettes and lighter. Johh was the only one on the force that knew she smoked. She wasn't proud of it at all and was trying to quit. The stress keeps her on them.

@DetectiveFlowerPower Johh wasn't one to judge. At least it was cigarettes and not straight cocaine, like her usual partner. She kept that secret for him, too, although she knew it would come back to bite her someday. Her eyes flick to the cigarette and then she looks at her phone for a moment. No missed calls, so that's a relief.

"That is awful. Unfortunately, all too common lately. Was it down crime alley again?"

@Honorbound She took a drag and exhaled away from Johh.

"Around there, yeah. It's too much to tell. Wouldn't want to gross you out, I like getting drinks with you after work and I want to keep getting drinks with you."

@DetectiveFlowerPower Her comment elicits a dry chuckle. "I know, I know. I think dispatch spares me the real gory ones because they think I can't handle it."

Which, on one hand, she didn't mind, because sometimes a really bad scene can make her hurl, but on the other hand... she should be able to handle anything any of the officers have to deal with.

"We still on for tonight then, I assume?"

@Honorbound She smiles at her as she takes a drag.

"It's a date."

She seemed like she was teasing, but she wouldn't mind calling it that.

@DetectiveFlowerPower "That's fine by me. I just need to finish this paperwork off, and then I'll meet you at the diner?" she rubs the edge of her left eye with her finger while she talks, then blinks a few times.

"Think my allergies might be flaring up again."

@Honorbound "Oh, I got you. Hold this."

She hands over her cigarette as she started digging through her bag again.

@DetectiveFlowerPower Awkward fingers cling to the cigarette like she's holding a dangerous viper. She doesn't smoke, and she doesn't like getting burned, so she side-eyes the cigarette as if it would come to life.

"Do you always carry around allergy meds, or is this a recent development?"

@Honorbound She laughs softly at the sight.

"Sweetie, relax. It isn't going to bite. Just hold it between your pointer and middle finger."

She pulls out the bottle of allergy pills.

"My allergies get to me too."

@DetectiveFlowerPower "Don't we love hayfever so much?" she asks sarcastically, a light smile curling her lips momentarily, until she moves the cigarette to hold it as Calypso indicated.

"Okay. I got it."

@Honorbound "There you go. Now you look like a natural."

She tilts her head with a smile as she watches her.

@Honorbound She dropped some allergy pills in her hand and gave her a bottle of water.

"Feel cool holding it?"

She giggles a bit.

@DetectiveFlowerPower "Hardly," she smiles back, pops the lid off the water bottle, then tosses the pills and the water back in rapid succession.

"Thanks. I owe you one."

@Honorbound "Nope you're off the hook."

She chuckles softly.

"So while you're holding it do you wanna try it?"

@DetectiveFlowerPower “The cigarette? Detective, my lungs suffer enough from the near-constant smog. I don't need to go about intentionally damaging them on *my* end.”

Johh finishes drinking the water and then sets the water bottle to the side and offers the cigarette back to Calypso.

@Honorbound "That's a good point, I didn't think about that."

She'd take the cigarette back and take another drag before stubbing it out.

"Should get you out of the city then."
