A really fat price hike if it’s true. Would you still go for a Pixel 8/8 Pro at these prices? I personally see the Pixel 7 line becoming even more attractive as right now in Europe you can find a Pixel 7a for €479 (Amazon promo), a Pixel 7 for €533 (offers on Amazon, otherwise €649 on Google Store) and a Pixel 7 Pro for €789 (another Amazon promo).
