Iām like this too. Like I know a few whose works I really enjoy (like Bette Midler), and then I know the names of others but I couldnāt point them out in a crowd. Iāve heard the name David Beckham before, and I know heās some football guy, but I donāt really know more than that.

If his heyday was 20 years ago itās no wonder I donāt know much about him. I was like 9, and lived out in the middle of nowhere. I had no friends, so I spent my days reading books and plonking away in QBASIC on my old Windows 98 machine. There was a lot of Populous 3, RollerCoaster Tycoon, and The Sims involved as well.
Then weāre of the same age. On my 9th birthday all the boys had āthe beckham haircutā. It makes sense that you managed to not know of him if you lived in the middle of nowhere, I can promise you that if you had lived in a city you wouldnāt have had a chance of not knowing who he is.
Youāre not wrong btw. Ronaldo and Beckham both had shitty bronze statues done. But Beckhamās was a prank played on him, inspired by Ronaldoās statue.
