Linux user share remains above macOS in the latest Steam Survey

After the rather exciting development in the last Steam Hardware & Software Survey where Linux users overtook macOS for the first time, the latest survey shows Linux continues to be above macOS but with the numbers dipping down.

@gamingonlinux honestly i should be surprised but like, macs suck for gaming, but linux can run on computers that are really good - no, designed in mind - for gaming. if anything, i'd argue certain distros are - or will be - better for gaming than windows. like... a LOT better
@gamingonlinux I confess to first getting the survey when I was running Windows, didn't agree to it, I rebooted into Linux and got it again.
I do use Linux a lot more than Windows.
@gamingonlinux I don’t think the trend will reverse any time soon. With Proton and dedicated Linux gaming hardware like Steam Deck the gap will widen.
@gamingonlinux hardly surprising at this point, between steam deck and proton you can play more games than ever on Linux. macOS have fragmented between intel and arm CPUs and many developers didn’t rebuild their apps with 64bit support after 32bit was dropped. Some games marked as working don’t and others do when marked as broken. Easier to dualboot on intel macs.
@gamingonlinux that chart graphic is illegible due to no contrast between line and background. Lines could be thicker too
