One of my favorite parts of PAX are the folks who have come to town who have no idea what PAX is.
@JacobBurgess Best part of any con, really. Makes us wish the Seattle Convention Center hosted a furry con.
@JacobBurgess similar for DragonCon. Especially since there's also a College Football start of season game. The best is when there's a closet-nerd attending the game, and they find their people. Only 1 or 2 years have bad fans made a problem at con.

@JacobBurgess I'm having flashbacks to when I used to do Gen Con:

We left the hall early to go to dinner. It was *also* Colts game day, and the line was spiraling out the stadium. The attached stadium. The attached stadium immediately next to Gen Con. Did you know that the stadium and the convention Hall in Indy are attached?

@JacobBurgess
We were still assembling in the hotel lobby when a really frazzled gamer walks in and told us that the hall just closed, and all those gamers just mobbed out, right into that line. "Have you seen what it looks like when lava hits the ocean??"

@JacobBurgess I had a great time at a small con on a university campus one time. Turned out there was a wedding happening in the college chapel at the same time, and they walked out into the middle of a crowd of cosplayers. Great pictures on both sides 😊
@JacobBurgess Really the best part of any con, but amusement grows with con size. XD
@JacobBurgess I shared an elevator this morning at my hotel with a woman who was heading out in a cruise and had questions about what was happening
