I've joined @mrdiamondj in playing old school monster hunter in 2023 but I did the smart thing and loaded up MHXX with a translation patch on my 3DS.
I'm still salty that only the Switch version came over to the west as Generations Ultimate. Some of us are crazy and want to play Monster Hunter on 3.88 inch 240p screens!
I can even do crossplay with Switch users on Generations Ultimate as long as I make sure they know not to post event quests since apparently if someone playing Generations Ultimate posts an event quest while I'm in the room my game will crash.
