@emax please stop using Google/Microsoft/any proprietary mess stealing your users data, not respecting GDPR, trying to create a monopoly and generally not being ethical. Especially for conducting research.
I would recommend Framaform or other open source and libre alternatives hosted by trusted parties :)
Hi Solal! I get what you're saying but the University has strict data protection requirements for user studies that we can't use software that hasn't gone through a data protection assessment.
We could start the process for self-hosted alternatives, but it could take a long time. Closed source is almost a no-go, but open source/self-hosted options could work with enough advance time. We have our own servers that are professionally managed
@solalnathan If you have open source suggestions, we will endeavour to try those for future studies!
Believe me, being a privacy researcher the choice of using Office365 isn't taken lightly. It's mostly to "avoid the hellfire of central university IT"
