@GreenFire Yeah, I am going through a bunch of screenshots before xferring data/account from one computer to the next and in my questionable wisdom I decided to review all the screenshots. 2016 has been a painful thing to look back on.
Your observation about the political force (ie, power) lends credence to the theory about the current owner of The Bird and strategy to destroy it and diffuse or dismantle that power.

I'm hopeful that foul site's power has decreased. I think it has here, but have no idea about it's political/economic power in other countries though.
I guess I appreciated it's power, but underestimated social media's impact here in 2015-16 U.S. after Myanmar with FB and Arab Spring on the old bird.
I sure wish that our executive branch would create some safe instances here on the fediverse to communicate to public from and get off those for-profit platforms.
