@JulianOliver what’s the difference from Approporedia? https://www.appropedia.org/Welcome_to_Appropedia
Welcome to Appropedia

Welcome to Appropedia, the sustainability wiki! We help build rich and sustainable lives by sharing knowledge, experiences, ideas and more.

Appropedia, the sustainability wiki
@becha Less focused solely on sustainability solutions and howtos, rather also resilience strategies, community driven disaster planning and response, mindset, organisation and preparation, food and infrastructure fallbacks, etc. Great resource that one though!

@JulianOliver Why not add each of those categories to existing wikis?

Have you considered the risk of further splitting the community with yet-another-resource? I know that roll-your-own is emotionally more satisfying than contributing to something, but please review this example: https://chaos.social/@schmidt_fu@mstdn.social/110909201495692306

Instead of the community aggregating around 1 or 2 tools, each of those Foraging Maps died its own slow death or at best remains minimally useful but incomplete. @becha

@[email protected] Yes, and it seems they cannibalize their entries, too. Nothing much found in #FallingFruit, because Germany is well covered in #Mundraub already 🙄 I asked the maintainer of FallingFruit: if we find good tree datasets from cities (free for foraging usually), they can be imported in bulk. Some effort in mapping is needed, though.
