Jeremy Robinson@BoardgamingParent @gpage I've always heard Caylus as the origin of worker placement... but I'm not sure how useful that line of inquiry actually is. It seems to me the Puerto Rico - RftG story is the exception in being able to track a meaningful chain of direct influence.
