Finally got around to getting a pair of Loop Engage earplugs and holy wow autistic/ADHD/noise sensitive folks, you have GOT to try these. They are magical
@ian I’ve been pretty okay with my airpod pros for NC and then discreet earplugs otherwise… what do the loops offer that makes it worth spending more $$? (very much thinking of the cat who craves lööps rn)
@shortridge @ian more comfortable and light, helps keeping them up for really long periods.
Good isolation of noise while still hearing voices. Especially great in train stations and other "aggressively noisy" places
Battery life holds forever, since no battery in it anyway.

@Danyd @ian oh I explicitly want to block out voices many times — unless you mean you can only hear the voices closest to you but not others?

how does it do with background music containing clear vocals?

@shortridge @ian you hear them. It's not meant to give you silence, just put down overall noise to a level that is no longer an aggression.
Active noice cancelling liek Sony's in general give better isolation, but I personally cannot support these for longer period.

@Danyd @ian hmmm looks like same noise reduction level as my Pluggerz (actually less — Pluggerz is 27db vs 26db for Loop Quiet and less for their other models)

Pluggerz are also very discreet fwiw and like… $10 lol
