This William Shatner Captain Kirk monologue poem is 14 couplet stanzas. The rhyme scheme is this: aa, bb, cc, dd, ee, ff, gg, hh, etc.. I would speak each couplet as if it were one line by letting one line flow into the other. I would put a brief pause after each stanza.
