mrgingerBecause selling the notion of “trickle down” economics is extremely profitable for those at the top. It keeps stringing people along believing that if we just give more money to and ask for less from our corporate benefactors, eventually we’ll all benefit somehow by them expanding their businesses and creating more slave wage jobs.
I would agree with that IF it were being portrayed positively. Headline says it is pretty much disproven.
republicans are still gonna push it like its proven and came down from their god himself.
RanvierWhen trump was president and they were cutting taxes for the rich more Republicans were still yammering on about this. Congressional budget office was like hey you know these tax cuts for the rich are gonna blow up the deficit? Republicans plug their ears “nanana, can’t hear you, it’ll make economy grow way bigger by magic and actually increase what we get in taxes.” Then when the deficit blows up a shocked pickachu face and suddenly democrats did this somehow and now they say we need to cut social security, Medicare, etc. And they go on about this everytime they’re trying to justify even more tax cuts for the rich. So continuing to spread the word that this crap does not work and that everytime they do it the government budgets are destroyed is still important I think.
