@kennynajarro I guess the first decision for social media managers is choosing an instance that aligns with their message. So they won't have to migrate instances. That means looking at the moderation rules, to make sure they don't include things like blocking use of non-English languages, allow company accounts, rules on advertising, etc. Those can all be different between instances set my the instance admins, there isn't a single set of rules in Mastodon.
@ragectl great insight here. I did all that research when setting up my company’s account—thankfully the infosec/cybersecurity community is pretty welcoming to brands.
