Sebastian MalloyI would like to request a “hug” button on Mastodon that I can tap when someone posts something sad or emotionally delicate, for when there are no words and tapping a star seems like a weird thing to do.
calvin 🛋️ @sebastianmalloy I was able to emoji react with a hug emoji on my instance. Does that not show up on Mastodon?
mxk@calvin @sebastianmalloy No, emoji reactions are a thing in misskey/pleroma and maybe some mastodon forks, but not a mainline feature.
@mxk @sebastianmalloy ah, okay, thanks. I know that Pleroma is like Mastodon Lite ™️, so I thought for sure Mastodon would have it.
I use such a feature all the time in the various chat apps that I use.
