Phone for Ubuntu Touch - Lemmy

Hello, I am looking for the optimum phone to install Ubuntutouch on, and I particularly want optimum battery life and, of course, a great camera. Which phone would you recommend I am looking at Xiaomi Poco x3 or M3 otherwise they are big for me. I currently have a Pixel 6 and Grapheneos but I would like a Linux UT in the past I also had Xperia 10 and Sailfish os. What would you recommend for everyday use with a good camera?

Keep in mind that none of these phones support the mainline kernel. There are only 3 phones that supports mainline kernel: PinePhone, PinePhone Pro and Librem 5. All other phones use Halium. In short, because there are no drivers for GNU/Linux, your phone will use Android container to talk to hardware.
Halium Project

Halium project aims to unify the hardware abstraction layers of different projects targetting mobile android devices.

@Shatur @markkdark what about OnePlus 6? IIRC there are just few missing bits in camera support, but otherwise it is mainline kernel
I probably phrased it wrong. There only 3 devices that can run mainline kernel and have fully functioning hardware. Yes, you can run mainline Linux on OnePlus 6 without camera and USB-OTG. I also think that there are some other minor issues. But on UBT camera in OnePlus 6 will work through Halium: devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/enchilada
