It was expected, but the rain certainly made it more interesting
On a race-by-race basis it’s not that surprising. But this kind of consistency over the course of a season is absolutely incredible.
A race such as today’s could easily have broken up his streak. At this point I’m just curious how far he can take it.
Yeah I’m sure he can go all the way to the end. And I do not think they’re going to have reliability problems because they can easily change the whole car, start last, and Verstappen will still win.

I’m not following F1 anymore but I’m curious. Is that a normal result from Aston and Alpine? What about Mercedes?
gerryflapAston was the big surprise this year, going from a mediocre team at the back of the midfield to getting multiple podiums in a row. Their car really made a jump, and they got Alonso who is still a racing god after all those years. They did drop back quite a bit in later races, bit seem to be getting back now. Alpine kinda feels like a middle of the pack team, although this time around they seemed to be doing quite well. Gasly managed to keep pace with the people around him. Definitely a surprise given their earlier performance.
Mercedes is still in the mix, and is currently second behind red bull overall afaik. But the field (apart from Max) is so close now that every race seems to have different teams being competitive
Gasly had a hell of a great final few laps. There was a stoppage for rain at 68 laps in, so the last few laps were very tightly packed and made for a lot of jostling final show down. On top of that, Perez, got a 5 second penalty which knocked him way back and helped edge Gasly in.
