Nothing makes me skeptical has hell about the PlayStation Portal like actually using PS Remote Play 😔

My PS5 is hooked in via Ethernet. My MacBook is on WiFi about 10 feet away. My network is very good.

Made it about 1 minute before getting a warning, and another 30 seconds before it full on crashed. This is happens all the time and I really don't know why I should expect it to be better on another device.

@matt it really is a your mileage will vary thing. Remote Play for me has been great since the PS4 launch and has only improved over the years. I use the Logitech G Cloud and play via the PS Play app (Mirror Play on iOS), which lets you increase the quality of the streaming. It genuinely looks and feels native 98% of the time. I’m hopefully the PlayStation Portal will perform as well.
@matt that’s odd. I’ve had pretty good experiences playing a variety of games using remote play. Many over hotel WiFi back to my PS5 in NJ. I used a MacBook Air and an iPad as my remote device.
@stevegio @matt Same here. I even finished games and “trophy huntered” others in the most remote and crappiest connections. And in my own home it’s just flawless to the point I wish they could let me stream 4K or 1440 at least.
@ideimos @stevegio I am jealous! Really can’t explain it on my end. I’ve never once had a good experience over 3 consoles and countless network setups 😭 Game Pass and GeForce Now are fantastic, so I have no idea what is always wrong with Sony’s option 🤷🏻‍♂️
