What good is their support network doing them right
Providing them food and shelter.
I’ve [x]
Yes, you have [x], and you were privileged enough to be able to [x]. Not everyone has the opportunity to [x], so just because you did doesn’t mean everyone can. In fact, the majority of people would probably find it very difficult to [x], because you have so many little things giving you a leg up that you take for granted and don’t even think about.
Just because you could [x] doesn’t mean [x] is a feasible solution for most people.
(for [x], insert “move”, “learn to code”, “get a loan”, “start a business”, “buy a house”, etc)
Providing them food and shelter.
Except it isn’t. Those are both clearly budgeted for and coming out of their own pocket.
Just because you could [x] doesn’t mean [x] is a feasible solution for most people.
It honestly doesn’t bother me if someone isn’t willing to make a change. Go ahead and keep that crappy job because of some mythical support network that is clearly not providing the help they need. Stay afraid to make a change.
Denial is a helluva drug.
You just HAVE to believe that you somehow deserve every good thing that’s happened to you, huh. Because you’re a Good Person. You Worked Hard. You Earned your place in society.
What a mental sickness.
