I love this concept of the 3 types of 'no' the tech industry gives to regulators.
1. No, this is annoying (e.g. Apple supporting USB-C, TikTok having chronological feeds)
2. No, this is bad for our business (e.g. DSA requiring messaging apps to interoperate with anyone who asks which would include spammers or hackers)
3. No, this is simply not possible (e.g pretty much must current proposals around encryption)

When tech says ‘no’ — Benedict Evans
The tech industry always has a reason why any new laws or regulations are bad - indeed, so does any industry. They always say that! The trouble is, sometimes it’s true, and some laws are (or would be) disasters. So which is it? Well, there are three ways that people say ‘NO!’
