Joshua Davis@lordmatt Trouser-soiling aside - It's the same issue with solving any large problem: Sometimes the solutions involve sacrifice, even hardship. Until more people are willing to be even *mildly* inconvenienced in order to make change happen - the change will not happen.
No politician will get elected on a platform of sacrifice for the greater good. People will move to the suburbs and drive everywhere. Etc.
My take: It has to get much worse before it will get better. :(
