I used to skin dive in the waters of Southern California a lot in my 20s, and there are lots of purple urchins around.I got a spine directly in the tip of my left index finger on a dive, and it sucked for days. You never quite feel like you got all the brittle spine out. Well, that was 20 years ago, and you know what I can still feel causing mild discomfort in my finger?
