SibrosanIMO the pupils would have a point in expressing their doubts, if the teacher would just limit himself to stating this theorem as a fact, instead of positing it and then continuing to elaborate on its proof.
I suppose the intention of the cartoon is making fun of "science deniers", but in doing so, it actually builds on popular misconception about what science is about... 🤪
