@GatekeepKen @JoshuaHolland Uh. Mental illnesses are medically diagnosable. Bigotry does not have roots in any diagnosable mental illness. For instance, I take medication for depression and ADHD. My son also takes ADHD meds and is autistic. Neither of us is remotely inclined to bigotry, much less violent bigotry.

Bigotry is a conscious choice and something people are personally responsible for. Blaming it on mental illness allows them to dodge that responsibility. Don't help them do that.

@GatekeepKen Ignorance IS a choice. If there is information out there about something and you refuse to actually go learn, that's a choice. It's not a learning disability or a brain chemistry issue. It's a full, conscious choice. And right now, you're Exhibit A for that choice.
