"Ladies and gentlemen."
- Tired
- Binary
- Exclusionary

"Gentles all!"
- Shakespearean
- Inclusive
- Hard to argue with

"Yo, fuckups!"
- Even more inclusive
- Attention-grabbing
- Far too accurate

@YouShallNotPass
I propose an alternative

"theydies and gentlethems"
- ???

@astro
It has the advantage of being inclusive of nonbinary people, certainly.
@YouShallNotPass are there any obvious downsides?
@astro
I think some binary people might feel excluded, but I'm not sure that's a reason not to use it.
@YouShallNotPass fair, ty for the input ^^
@astro
Honestly if it were only cis folks who were bothered by it, I'd be in favor of it because it's about time they had to deal with something that doesn't feel made just for them.
@YouShallNotPass Genius, love the idea, that is now my greeting for everything and everyone, thank you thank you
