Planting a trillion trees could cool the planet by 0.4 degrees Celsius by 2050, according to a new study by Swiss researchers. The Amazon Rainforest… a region of South America about 60% the size of the US, contains ~360B trees.

"ONE TRILLION TRESS" would blanket the U.S. w/SO many trees it would blot out the sun from Coast-to-Coast. 🤦‍♂️

If the response is: "the entire planet, not just the U.S.", we have NO authority to plants trees in any other country and would be a costly logistical nightmare.

This insane "solution" proposed by Republicans is just another "easy answer" to eschew being inconvenienced.
