Probably an unpopular opinion here but I kind of think that blocking creates echo chambers, and people have been circulating large block lists composed mainly of their opponents (not just in politics but also in things like stock trading where you can have very strong opinions around certain stocks), through which they ensure that they’ll get mostly favorable replies to their tweets.
