Air AdamIt's only a podcast if you can subscribe to it using RSS and play back with an application of your choice, otherwise it's just sparkling audio.
CubeOfCheese@airadam I just discovered podcasts are RSS based (I'm not much of a podcast person) and I was shocked! How did something that got a boost in popularity and investment in the last 5 years not get walled gardened by every major player!? It's wonderful
@airadam and I'm curious now, if podcasts work like this, why can't videos? Right now YouTube is the undisputed front-runner with vimeo, nebula, peertube while still useful, aren't really able to compete. I'm curious if there is any reason video couldn't be more like podcasts
@cubeofcheese I'm sure there used to be video podcasts, but I've not seen one in a long while - which is funny, given how much video is on the internet now!
