Nicki Stephens@streetartutopia Ah Florida’s regressive “ Stop Woke Act” has taken a dystopian trajectory. I agree to an extent with age appropriate reading material - however attempts to whitewash the harsh realities of life is incongruous- particularly given many children in the USA are experiencing “ unchildlike “existences. Children are being introduced to gun ownership as a norm, climate change is a myth, living on food stamps is a non issue and start saving if you need healthcare . Yep stop the woke!

The woke people make people lose/not get a job if you disagree with them. In my country, that's exactly what the communist did during their reign Heck, that's what the nazis did too! People were too afraid to speak out against nazism because they were afraid of becomming homeless. I find this american political situation absolutely insane tbh, I hope it will get better.

@jakub @streetartutopia Woke went from a social justice term to a pejorative favoured by the far right . I agree with you that political extremism from either left or right does not serve the interests of the people, rather their own interests . Where we disagree is how we view “ Woke” and what it means. If you use it as a pejorative then arguably it’s being used incorrectly.
