@slothrop This makes me very sad. I loved hearing about her projects and research. It was nice to have someone give a more nuanced view of China online instead of "China is bad, USA good". I will miss her online presence.

Oh, and if people think Western police forces don't invite LGBTQIA people "to drink tea" as an excuse to harras or tell us to "be quiet"/"stop drawing attention" or "consider your own safety" they are very wrong. That stuff still happens here too.
