im at the chinese visa centre in hong kong. i thought this was gonna be a 1hr in-out ordeal i can do at lunchtime. ive been waiting here for 2.5hrs already. thankfully the boss is on leave.

wow now that everything is done i cant believe applying for a visa is that easy.

normally i’d sweat bullets if i try to get a visa because of my nationality and how we’re notoriously known to overstay our welcome.

i didn’t even need to print all of my passport pages, or smarten up and bring show money.

just realized the cashier doesn’t take credit cards. this is a government facility after all, and with networks like visa and mastercard being the most dominant even in hong kong it would suck if payments or privacy get compromised because it was processed by a foreign corporation. last thing this center needs is a lockout akin to what happened to russia.
