Vegans being vegans - Lemmy.world

Arch users 🀝 Vegans
Hey, wanna go on a date? I know this awesome vegan restaurant (vegan btw) downtown. We can go there after a workout at the crossfit gym (I do crossfit btw), and maybe we can check out this cool new vape shop (vape nation πŸ’¨) on the way. After dinner, how about we go to your place and install Arch (I use arch btw) on your computer together.

My computer already runs Arch, so what do we do instead? wink wink

That’s right, install libreboot on my new second hand Thinkpad

Now I feel called out because I bought a second hand T480 not too long ago
They’re good devices, what can I say
I’m vegan btw
Me too, lets destroy capitalism together
I’m vegetarian. I’ll crack capitalist necks like I crack those eggs
Lmao is this place going to devolve into vegan vs antivegan posting after that one person started postingM
I think this one is pretty light hearted and not antivegan.
I know, I like this one myself. I’m just kind of scared it might start a flamewar since I’m used to it being quite the dangerous topic on reddit 😭
Who ? I stole this from somewhere else without knowing better.
Honestly just bring up the topic of β€œvegan” in any reddit space and you’ll instantly attract a flock of rabid holier than thou vegans and weirdly obsessed antivegans arguing until at least a dozen people got banned and the posts comment section got locked.
Idk I don’t think it’ll start a flame war, but I do acknowledge that making fun of vegans for talking about being vegan is generally a dick move. I’d prefer acknowledging that vegans are around and preemptively accommodating for them. It makes life easier for everyone from vegetarians to lactose intolerant folks to people with egg allergies. All while making it easier to reduce animal product consumption for those who still do consume some
What’s up with the boomer memes recently?
I have accepted my faith as a Boomer

I use vegan, arch btw. Or as I like to call it vegan/arch.

Get over it boomer, your outmoded ethics are as dated as your OS preferences.
