they say, and sling
their oversized ass
into a metal thing
shaped like a car
the way an elephant
is like a mouse
and drive right out
to their backwoods house
and reminisce
about all the fish
that grandad caught
where the sparkling river
used to be
then back to town
in their suv
to buy more gas
for the next day's driving
just in time

for the storm clouds'
