@georgetakei Right-wing bad-faith actors have taken Proverbs 3:5-6 and twisted it to recruit churchgoers and make more right-wing bad-faith actors. It's the church version of “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." Basically if it's Republican, it's church approved, and if it isn't, everyone involved with it is going to hell and you must hate them. How handy that their version of God hates all the same people they do.
