Cogito Ergo Disputo@georgetakei this is explained by group psychology. Politics over the last decades in your country has been polarized by false journalism and social networks. Dems and Republicans in the Senate and Congress have given up or working together on the common interests of The People. So instead of a country you now have two tribes where no one believes on even one word coming from the other side. But I guess you now all this.
@georgetakei I've seen people on the side of the Republicans shrug off the Capitol riots as just some foolish protest that may have gone a bit over the rails but certainly wasn't an attempt to prevent the ratification of the election results, so I guess people believe in what they want to believe.
